Good news — as of this year, Morocco travel restrictions have been lifted. You can now enter the country freely without any complicated health documents.
To enter Morocco in 2025, all you need is:
A valid passport (with at least 6 months remaining)
A return or onward flight ticket (some airlines check this)
A visa, but only if you’re from a country that requires one

If you’re from the USA, UK, EU, Canada, Australia, or New Zealand — you don’t need a visa for stays under 90 days.
A lot of travelers still ask us about Morocco COVID rules, but the reality is: they’re no longer in effect.
No PCR or antigen tests
No vaccine requirements
No quarantine or health forms
Most places are back to normal. You might still see a few people wearing masks in cities, but it’s not required.
Even though Morocco travel restrictions are no longer an issue, it’s still smart to prepare right. Here are my top tips from the ground:
Summer (July–Aug) is very hot — especially in the desert. Pack light clothing and drink plenty of water.
Have cash in Moroccan dirhams. Some small places still don’t accept cards.
Download InDrive or Careem apps for easier taxis in the cities.
If you’re heading to places like Merzouga or Chefchaouen, book early — accommodations fill up fast.
At the moment, there’s no sign of restrictions returning. Tourism is back in full swing, and locals are happy to welcome travelers again.
Still, things can change. To stay safe, check the Moroccan Ministry of Health or ask your airline before your flight.
