Itinerary

Day 1: Marrakech – the Atlas Mountains – Oldest Morocco building – Ouarzazate

The Marrakech Fes 5 Days Desert Safari, will launch by meeting you at your hotel reception. And start the adventure by leaving Marrakech city and diving Moroccan countryside sea. With its different kinds of trees, and colorful mountains, with beautiful African villages. And visit one of the most antiquated fortified buildings in Morocco, called Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah or Castle. This construction was recognized by UNESCO as a world heritage site, and it was an attractive destination for many international movie makers. Subsequently, we will drive to visit the Hollywood of Morocco where 70% of the Moroccan movies took place. This city is called Ouarzazate and it’s known by Atlas studio, The largest cinema studio in Africa. Its also known as a former palace full of charismatic current rooms and gardens in front of a cinema museum. Which was originally a synagogue of the Moroccan Jewish before they leave for Israel. Overnight in our accommodation.

Day 2: Ouarzazate – Skoura – top Morocco valleys – Dades Gorges

Good Morning again, the program of today will be different. most of the drive will be off-road beside the rose Valley passing by many small Berber residential groups. The people in this area are very simple living in short solar houses made of clay. Depending on the agriculture and grazing. We will have many stops for pictures and for lunch in one of the local recommended restaurants. Afterward, continue our way to call on itinerant nomads to try their tea then head on to our to Dades canyon. Crossing the top valley in the Atlas Mountains. Dinner and overnight in the hotel.

Day 3: Dades valley- Todra Gorge -Erfoud -Erg Chebbi Desert

This morning will be driving between the colorful high Atlas and black anti-Atlas mountains. After getting to visit the great canyon in Morocco famous for attracting climbers from different spots in the world. Subsequently, we will head our way to the Jorf Khottara which is an old huge under-earth irrigation system that was made by hand. After that, we will leave to the fossils city then to the Rissani where we will explore its traditional market of goods and animals such as (donkeys, sheep, goats, cows ). Then end the day at our accommodation in the desert.

Day 4: explore the Sahara desert, with its: Oasis, local nomads, Local music, desert villages

This special day will enjoy the most ranked activities in the desert of Morocco. The day will start by driving in the rally Dakar road. Crossing the desert to call on a nomadic Berber family living in a tent made of their animals wool. After having a cup of tea with nomads we will head on to a kohl mine. Driving in the Hamada, which is a black-rocked desert from which the sand has been removed by wind erosion. After visiting the huge colonized mine of kohl, we will head to enjoy the spectacular music and dances of the Berber black-skinned people. After the music we will have a Berber pizza which is a local dessert food for lunch, then have a short walk in the oasis. Before start riding the camels in the desert to enjoy the sunset, sand-boarding, and an unforgettable night in a local tent under billions of stars.

Day 5: Erg Chebbi Dunes – Ziz Valley – apple city – Cedar forest– Ifrane – Fes

Torn your alarm on to wake up as early as possible to enjoy the glittering desert sunrise. Before having breakfast and taking a shower. We will start our drive to Fes via the charming Ziz valley with a thousand palm groves and olives, the valley is one of the longest valleys in Morocco with more than 500 villages and 3 million palm trees. After that, we will start crossing the high mountains enjoying their dry and green landscapes. After lunch in the apple city, we will head our way to cedar forest to feed ape monkeys, then to Fes via Ifrane city nicknamed Switzerland of Morocco.

5 day desert tour with Addi!

To anyone coming to Morocco, I can only recommend doing this tour with Addi. We booked a 5 day trip to the desert and back to Marrakech. As we were planing on going to the rural areas and villages we were glad to have a local guide who knows the best spots and can inform us about the Moroccan traditions.

Addi is the best guide any touist can ask for. He is extremly helpful, warm hearted, organized and was always willing to tell us his personal experiences. This made the tour an absolute highlight. The hotels were all super and the camping in the desert was a memory we will never forget.

Morocco has definitely stolen our hearts!!!
